Christ's school old students celebrate -

VARIOUS activities marking the 40th anniversary of
admission of the 1968-72/74 set of Christ's School, Ado-Ekiti
Old Students Association will hold today.
The events will start with a special thanksgiving
service at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Church, Oba Akinjobi
Street, GRA Ikeja, Lagos, followed by a reception and launch of N25 million
star project for the school at the Special Banquet Hall of LTV 8
along Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja.
The set, according to a statement by the publicity
secretary, Soji Omotunde, has also concluded arrangements to
honour select old students with the Distinguished Alumni Awards for their
outstanding contributions to their alma mater.
The recipients include the Managing Director of First
Bank of Nigeria Plc, Mr. Moyo Jacobs Ajekigbe, Chief
Executive, Intercontinental Bank plc, Dr. Erastus B. Akingbola
and Chairman, Access Bank Plc., Mr. Gbenga Oyebode.
Others are Cadbury Plc's chairman, Dr. Udimo J.
Itsueli, Ghana-based business tycoon, Mr. Olusola Martinluther,
University of Lagos Vice Chancellor, Professor Tolu Odugbemi and
a Consultant Haematologist at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Professor
(Mrs.) Wuraola Sokunbi (nee Olaofe).
Dr. Akingbola will deliver an
anniversary lecture with the theme "the faithfulness of God" at the occasion.
